PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS AS A MUSIC CONSUMER - STAY IN TUNE WITH THE ISSUE!
Do you think you're a criminal if you listen to an MP3 file? How about if you use your digital video recorder to record the Sopranos one night and watch it the next?

The entertainment industry thinks you are.

Stay.In.Tune is designed to bring you the facts about the debate over copyright protection and how the entertainment industry is trying to deprive you of the freedom to record, share and enjoy music, television, books, movies and more.

Until now, our freedom to use VCRs and tape recorders, as well as forms of digital entertainment have been protected by the 1984 Supreme Court "fair use" recording rights decision. But now the entertainment industry is spending considerable amounts of time and money to convince us that the rules have changed, that the advent of digital technology brings with it a new era of copyright protection.

Please use this space to learn, discuss, and take action. And find out what you can do to protect your fair use rights - including how you can support legislation that protects your rights and fight legislation that seeks to limit them.

Sign up for our email list and get involved - we need to show them that we will not stand for this infringement on our rights!

YES, THEY REALLY SAID THIS

"Every single day we're out here pouring our hearts and souls into making music for everyone to enjoy. What if you didn't get paid for your job? Put yourself in our shoes!"

(Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, as quoted on MusicUnited.org)

"P. Diddy" already owns his own record label, a clothing line and two restaurants. Besides being a hip-hop star, he's started an acting career. Combs' enterprises do an estimated $300 million in annual business, and Fortune magazine once estimated his annual earnings at more than $50 million.
